I moved to Lake Tahoe 11 years ago and met Megan at the Vet office. She was the only one able to take my dogs' temperatures without them throwing a fit. I soon realized her love for animals and, although young, I asked her if she was interested in walking my dogs on a regular basis. From this she started her business. When I pick my dogs up, as spoiled as I brought them up, they do not want to leave Megan’s side. I have to pick them up to put in the car. Whether it is their medication, food or love, she does a great job and I feel very confident that while they are with her they get excellent care.
After all my dogs were her first clients!

We have known Megan for five years. During this time she has walked our two dogs once or twice a week and kept them for up to a month while we were traveling. We have a three year old bull dog and a six year old lab and they come home pooped from their day walks and when we leave them for extended periods, they are in great physical shape when we come home. Megan also considers the size and energy level of the individual dog and schedules their walks with dogs of similar abilities and endurance.
Our pets are family member and we trust only Megan to take care of them. She is kind and caring and has become a special friend. We travel extensively and we have full confidence in her to keep them safe and happy. We can tell how much our dogs enjoy it by how excited they get every time they see her. She very accommodating for special diets and medical needs. We highly recommend her for both day care and overnight stays.

We have known Megan Ahlburn for nine years. She is a good friend and valued service provider. Megan house sat and cared for our beloved Springer Spaniel for three consecutive winter seasons while we were away from Tahoe. We have known Megan for 6 years. She has taken care of all of our animals (i.e., dog, cat, and saltwater fish) both on a daily basis and while we are on vacation. Megan takes our dog three days a week for playgroup; our dog always comes back happy, healthy, and tired! Megan is very responsible. She has never allowed our very sneaky cat out and her loving attention while we are on vacation keeps him from destroying the house. Without North Lake Dog Camp my two Siberian huskies would not get the free running and energy release that they require each week. Megan Ahlburn regularly runs my two dogs on the trails and open spaces around my home in North Lake Tahoe. Twice a week, I am assured that I will come home from work and that my two energy filled huskies will be asleep on the deck, tired and hungry from a morning of running. Rain, snow or shine, Megan conveniently arrives at my home and escorts the dogs on another running adventure.
